A long weekend in June 2023 to celebrate a wedding anniversary
What a fabulous location for a multi generational stay! We had a lovely weekend and felt we added to the many special memories that must be created at Vicarage House. The grounds were much larger than we expected and the house was so well equipped with generous supplies of everything. All commented on many things but especially how comfortable the beds were with luxurious sheets and duvet covers.
So thank you for sharing your home and to all who made it so welcoming for us.
The food deliveries were just what we needed and delicious - it gave us the flexibility on when to eat (essential with little people around) but without having to do the preparation. Thank you SS

October half term 2022
What a wonderful week in your beautiful home away from home. From celebrating our Dad’s birthday with the most yummy meal cooked by Connor, to walks and runs in the forest, fish and chips by the beach, geocache, horse riding, a tennis tournament, bikes and wiff-waff, swimming and dahlia picking - they are beautiful. What a wonderful way to spend my 80th birthday, with my wife of 58 of them plus 14 children and grandchildren and other beneficiaries!! We took part in all the activities available and found out what a painful game rounders is. Thank you Katie and Richard for allowing us to share your wonderful house and home in such a beautiful setting. The bonus was our gala dinner prepared and served by Connor and his assistant. What can i say! Your home is simply stunning! you have done such an incredible job in the garden too, its beautiful, all the little touches, the decor, the home from home feeling, all the different outside areas, pool, grounds, tennis court, bikes the list goes on and on.... its a dream home and I felt so relaxed there which was much needed. We all had an amazing time and I was feeling so much better thank goodness. We have all said we would like to come back again next year for another long weekend?

Thank you so so much, we all had such an amazing weekend…. I cannot begin to tell you exactly how fun-filled it was! My mother said it was, by far, the best birthday she’d ever had. We played boules, tennis, rounders & croquet - great to see an 80 (mother) & an 88 year old (mother in law) having just so much fun!!
You have the most stunning home & garden, we were all simply in awe of how exquisitely beautiful everything was. Compliments to all involved, it really far exceeded all expectations and is something we will remember for many years to come. Thank you, it really meant the world to us that mother had this most enjoyable experience to celebrate such a landmark birthday.

What a wonderful house and place in the country to spend New Year’s Eve. We have had the best time staying here, the house is just amazing and so beautifully decorated. We all felt at home here - thank you for being so welcoming. Vicky was excellent checking us in and showing us around. And all the tips of local restaurants & activities were gratefully received. This has been the best of stays and place for a proper celebration for all our friends - who have reunited for the first time from across the globe in 2+ years. Our dog Milo loved exploring the grounds. It has been such a wonderful stay for all.

We decided we all wanted to be together this Christmas as last year, due to the restrictions and covid, we were separated. Well this exceeded all expectations, the house was amazing with every need catered for. We have had an amazing time and nobody wants to leave. From the booking a year ago until we left, everything was smooth running and well organised. We would all love to come again hopefully in the summer when we can make use of the pool. The games room was perfect for the children! Vicky was more than helpful. So thanks so much from all our family, we had a ball.

We’ve had a fabulous time enjoying the wonderful facilities here at Vicarage House. Rounders on the front lawn, boules down the drive, table tennis and tennis competitions, water polo in the pool, riding bikes round the beautiful grounds (including discovering muntjac deer) whilst celebrating a Pearl Wedding Anniversary, topped off with some awful renditions on the karaoke machine in the games room - apologies to the neighbours. Fourteen of us in the family to celebrate my 80th birthday in style. Plus the engagements of two grandsons and a 21st birthday. We have all enjoyed the beautiful garden and your wonderful home. They have enjoyed cycling to the pub and having a tennis tournament and all the other facilities. As we have been so fortunate to have had a heatwave, the pool has been well used and eating out in the garden every meal. A wonderful week of celebrating with my family. We have had a lovely mini break in this beautiful house. We have enjoyed playing tennis and swimming in the pool, despite the weather. We went to Go-Ape - the Segways were fun. What a delight. We came five years ago with our family to celebrate 45 years of marriage. This time it was touch and go for pandemic reasons but all was well. It is a privilege to be here, everything is thought of. From 7 year old to 70, we all swam, played tennis and croquet. Indoors there was table tennis and of course Wimbledon and the Euro Finals. Not the best of weather but who cared. Thank you Richard and of course Vicky, We would love to return. AH

We Vicarage House provided the ideal arrangements for an 80th birthday also a half-term holiday. We all enjoyed the welcome meal on the first evening and the special meal put on by Conor Carway-Roe. We had an interesting visit to Future Forest Sculpture Walk at Thetford Forest, went on local walks and some visited The Sainsbury Centre in Norwich. Others went to Duxford and one couple visited Blickling.
Many thanks to Katie and Richard. Our family will be wanting to make a second visit.

We return to this comfortable house for another family gathering for us all - now age range from 87 to 8 months. Another wedding and another baby (since we stayed last) and one grandchild remembered the play room and the brio trains. Beds so comfortable - all parents of little ones would have appreciated a lie-in!!
Plenty of time and space for all of us to play, eat and laugh and the cousins to play together. Weather dry so tennis played and plenty of running in the garden. Our thanks to Katie and Richard.

We spent the most glorious five nights in this fantastic mansion with all the family. It felt like a home-from-home with so many touches to make our stay perfect. Thank you so much. We shall be back.

Three generations and all had a fab time over a two week stay! The house is a true home and is very comfortable. We have enjoyed cooking beautiful local produce in the well-equipped kitchen. Vicky the housekeeper has been most helpful. The pool was a godsend in the hot weather. Thank you so much especially Richard and Katie for sharing this with us.

Great house, beautiful gardens on an expansive and tranquil site. All ages enjoyed the facilities (thanks to the good weather!) and made good use of the football pitch, tennis court and swimming pool. (oh and the croquet lawn!) No need to venture outside the grounds, except for one evening outing to the Red Lion at Caston.

We have all enjoyed a very memorable stay in your beautiful home to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary with all our children, their partners and our grandchildren. So glad to be back in this wonderful home again, now with an age range from 6months to 85 years. One wedding and two new babies in the family since our last visit.
